Born and raised in Selma, California, John G. Barrón, O.D. obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fresno Pacific University. After completing post-baccalaureate studies at California State University Fresno, he moved to Fullerton to pursue his dream of becoming an optometrist at the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO).

While attending SCCO, Dr. Barrón was part of a group that had the opportunity to travel to El Salvador and Mexico, to provide voluntary vision screenings and eye health assessments to over 7,000 individuals.

Dr. Barrón completed internships at the Eye Care Clinic-Fullerton, CA, National Naval Medical Center-Bethesda, MD, VA Medical Center-Fresno, CA, and Whiteriver Indian Hospital-Whiteriver, AZ. After successful achievement of his Optometry degree from SCCO, Dr. Barrón joined the professional staff at Natural Vision in September 2006.

Dr. Barrón specializes in glasses, contact lenses, computer visual problems, and early detection of eye diseases. Dr. Barrón is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, Central California Optometric Association, and the Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity.

He is fluent in Spanish, and enjoys participating in community activities, traveling, reading, exercising, and sports.
